Area Vice President of
Operations/Southwest Outpatient

Chief Scientific Officer
The Chief Scientific Officer is
responsible for the overall research
and development functions in the
company. Responsibilities include
overseeing the creation, development,
design and implementation of the
organization's research and
development programs, from discovery
through product approval.
The
position reports directly to the CEO
and President. The position
oversees, directly or indirectly, all
internal research and development
staff and external research and
development vendors.
Chief Operating
Officer
The Chief Operating Officer
(COO) directs all functions of the
hospital in keeping with the overall
policies established by the Board and
to assure compliance with regulatory
guidelines and to achieve the
strategic objectives of the hospital.
The COO provides leadership and
directions in promoting the
realization of quality through
efficient, economical, and effective
utilization of hospital resources to
meet the identified needs of the
community.
The COO assists in the
preparation of hospital/department
budgets, yearly plans and allocation
of funds based upon review of
department estimates/recommendations.
