HW HealthFinders, Inc. is a nationwide recruiting firm focusing on the needs of healthcare businesses. We
realize that our clients' most important needs are people needs and because of that, the people representing HW
HealthFinders and the candidates we identify for our clients are the foundation to successful and long term working
relationships. The key people at HW HealthFinders begin with the managing partners, Bruce Hackley and Bob Whren.
Bruce Hackley, Co-Managing Partner
of HW HealthFinders, started his career in the healthcare industry in 1972 following his graduation from University
of Missouri with a B.A. in Psychology. His first position was as a territory representative for G.D. Searle & Co.
developing business through physicians, hospitals and retail pharmacies.
Two other sales positions followed, one selling laboratory equipment and disposables to hospitals, and the second
selling medical equipment and disposables to hospitals, focusing on nursing, surgery, ICUs and CCUs. In this role,
Bruce was first promoted to Regional Sales Manager and moved to Atlanta to oversee nine salespeople, a combination
of direct and manufacturers' reps. He would remain in this and expanded roles until he moved to HPI as Eastern
Region VP, Sales in 1982.
HPI provided contract pharmacy services to hospitals. It was in this position that Bruce first met his current
partner, Bob Whren, who was the Eastern Region VP, Operations.Through their joint and cooperative efforts the
region produced 80% of the company's revenue with only 50% of the geography. In 1986 Bruce was recruited by
Caremark, a leading home infusion therapy services provider, to become one of only three Regional General Managers
in the country and remained in that role until the Baxter/Caremark merger was completed in 1988.
From 1988 to 1994 Bruce was Director of Sales and Marketing at Primedica, the country's leading contract services
provider of respiratory therapy services to hospitals and long-term care facilities. Following those
responsibilities, he was reunited with Bob at Physician Reliance Network, a leading oncology practice management
company, as Senior VP, Business Development, where he led them to record sales years before leaving in 1997 for a
position as Chief Development Officer at a pre-IPO physician practice management company.
Since that time, Bruce was VP, Sales for Omnicare, a $2 billion provider of pharmacy services to long term care
facilities before forming HW HealthFinders.
Bob Whren graduated from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1973 with a B.S. in Pharmacy and in 1982
obtained his M.B.A. from Xavier University. Bob began his work with HPI in 1977 as a Department Manager and
progressed from that position to serve in roles as Regional Director of Operations, Regional Vice President of
Operations and Senior Vice President of Operations. In those roles Bob was responsible for the operation of hospital
pharmacies, home infusion therapy, medical equipment and nursing services.
In 1991 Bob joined Cellcor, a start-up biotechnology company, as Senior VP of Operations where he opened
multiple-site treatment centers. He later joined Physician Reliance Network, an oncology practice management company
as Executive VP of Subsidiary Operations and President of Pharmacy Services where he was instrumental in forming an
oncology research network, creation of a gene therapy clinic, and the first academic cancer center relationship with
Baylor University Medical Center. Since PRN, Bob has served as Chief Operating Officer for Affiliated Research
Centers that conducted Phase II-IV clinical trials and for Manus Health Systems, a privately held dental practice
management company.
Matt Braswell began his career in the healthcare industry as a territory
sales representative for United HealthServ Inc., a contract services
company. United HealthServ provided housekeeping, laundry, dietary and
maintenance services to hospitals. After a successful tenure there, Matt
joined Primedica, the leading provider of contract respiratory care
services, where he reported to Bruce Hackley. Since then, he has held
various positions with healthcare support firms including Regional Vice
President of Sales for Safety Disposal Systems, Vice President of Sales for
Hospital Therapy Services, and General Manager at ATC Allied Healthcare.
Those providers included medical waste management, long-term care, and
clinical staffing. Prior to joining HW HealthFinders, Matt was a Partner at
The Harvard Group, an executive search firm based in Atlanta. He brings to
us his extensive knowledge of the healthcare services industry and the
recruitment of sales and operations professionals.

She managed and owned her own retail pharmacy. She was active in local,
state, and national pharmacy associations, and served many offices, and
chaired many committees. In addition to her pharmacy degree, she has an MBA
